Visit from Gran and Pops

Cody's mom and dad came to visit today...While the boys played golf Janet, Livia and I caught up on playing and girl talk...I laid Liv down for her nap expecting it to be about 2 hours but she was one sleepy girl she napped for 4 hours! When the boys got home we went to the golf course to look at the villas for Larry and Janet...they really want to move to Oakland! They have put thier house back on the market...We did not like the villas but they did find a gorgeous lot to build on....the view is beautiful!!!! If they don't buy it Cody and I would love too!!! Once we finished up looking around we came back and Janet had made us Chicken rotel so we had dinner together! We had another great weekend and I'm looking forward to a 4 day week!!!

I've read that the more tummy time they get the quicker they crawl!
She gets so mad because she can't get it in her mouth to chew on it....she hasn't figured out that it isn't a teether!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
