Recap of my 1st summer as mommy!

We had a very busy fun summer with tons of sweet memories made! We were fortunate enough to take Liv to the beach twice this year with both sets of parents! Boy was that fun! We took a stroll almost every morning! We took complete advantage of the pool that is basically in our backyard! We hung out with great friends! We traveled a lot!!! We got to go back home for many trips...and loved spending all that time with Momma and Daddy! We played non stop! I made tons of fresh baby food for my healthy girl...she has never had any serious sickness....only the stinking stomach bug! Livia started so many fun things over the summer...saying momma, crawling, and identifying her 22 words being the big three! And the best of all I got to spend every second of everyday with my baby girl!!! Talk about the life!!!! I love my job for many great reasons..and getting to be a semi stay at home mom is one of them!!! I am trying not to be sad about summer ending and just be grateful...is it bad that I ha...

Summer Reading

BOOK 1: I normally read only 2 books every summer which is really good for me! They are usually fictional reads, but this summer I decided to read Preparation for Parenting and Preparation for the Toddler Years 5-15 months. I did a whole lot of reading while I was pregnant to help prepare myself for parenthood, but I didn't read these two books! My cousin Jill, who I look up to in every way possible, suggested these books to me at the beginning of my pregnancy. I knew that I had to read them because her parenting was so successful and her two children are all around the best children that I have ever met!! I didn't read the first Prep for Parenting book until now...a little late huh... I already had several of these books so I just read them instead! It is always great to get more than one opinion/insight though.... I am glad that I read the first book..Even though most of this book is about establishing routine, which I have already done, it gave me great insight about thin...

Week 10- Last week of Summer!!!

Liv had a blast and wasn't scared of the sprinklers at all! Thursday- Went home to visit for the last time this summer! Friday- Since it was the last official day of summer break I wanted to do something fun! Since the awesome Safari Park is only 20 minutes away from Newbern we decided this is what we would do! It was AWESOME!!! We all laughed so much and enjoyed all fun we had together!

What an adventure we had today! As hot as it has been outside....doing outdoor things have to be limited or in the water..so since it was the official last day of our summer break I wanted to take advantage of it by doing something adventurous! Since the safari park is only 20 minutes away from Newbern and you drive through the whole thing I thought this would be perfect! We were so glad we did!!! We all had the best time and laughed a WHOLE lot!!! Livia loved it too..she got up close and personal with the animals and helped be the tour guide as well!!! Out favorite part was feeding the giraffe!! Giraffes are the sweetest animals ever and our favorite by far!!! She was not afraid to feed any of the animals! All that feeding the animals made Liv hungry too! Liv was p...
