Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

Thank goodness we can finally turn our girl around in the car! I'm such a research and customer review geek... so finding the perfect car seat for Liv took a little bit of time! I finally found the one I thought would be perfect for her...and then looked at the price tag!!! They are EXPENSIVE, however safety is first! I had heard about a place in Memphis called bargain hunts...(if you have never been it is a must..thank you Jane)...I told Cody about it and we ventured off to see what we could find. We walked in and there it was...the one I had researched and wanted color and all!!!!! How awesome...such a God thing! And....it was half the price....$134.99!!!! An added perk is if you're a teacher you get an additional 10% off! Once we got home I put it in the car and we took it for a test ride! Livia cried at first...we felt so hopeless!! HAHA...but after a few minutes she was good! I love looking in the rear view mirror and seeing her look out the window at this big world!  ...

Thanksgiving is a holiday that I look forward to all year! I am a big eater so of course I love the food...but most of all I love visiting with my family and remembering how much I have been blessed with to be thankful for! Mom and I  starting preparing for our feast Wednesday....which made Thursday perfect! We were still busy, but we had time to play with Liv! While we cooked, Daddy worked on the yard...Liv got in on the action too! She helped park the lawn mower! Everyone was at the house at 12:30 ready to visit and dig in! Livia LOVED all the good food and of course loved visiting with everyone! Cody had to leave soon after we ate because he had to be into work at 2:00 am to prepare and send out 1,300 box lunches for black Friday!!! Liv and I stayed and intended on staying until Saturday morning...but my sister and dad got really sick so we decided it would be best if we went back home Friday afternoon. Today was such a special day! We celebrated Livia's 1st birthday by having a sweet shoppe themed party...we couldn't have matched a better theme to her sweet little personality! She was AMAZING! She laughed, talked, smiled, and entertained the whole time! The party was on Saturday the 17th from 2-4.... we began the party by letting everyone eat...then we let Livia smash into her cake...she didn't really smash into it... she just picked at it and ate it! Everyone loved her cake...it was the prettiest cake I've seen in a really long time and it was super yummy! Then we opened her presents....she was busy doing other things so she opened a few, but we had great helpers to do the job for her! Next we took the kids outside to play on Liv's BIG present....the play set! It was a beautiful day and they all really enjoyed themselves!
