Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

We had my side of the family baby shower Saturday and it was so nice. We received so many wonderful gifts...We are so blessed to have such an sweet family!

We had so much fun at our maternity session tonight! I just love Elizabeth, our photographer. We met her at Shelby Farms at 5:30 so trying to beat the sun going down was a little tricky. Trying to change clothes in a car at 34 weeks pregnant was not the easiest thing in the world! Instead of getting frustrated I just laughed and tried to have a good attitude...it was pretty comical! Cody helped me so much....he was running around trying to get all of the props that we needed for the next picture, all the while trying to help me change outfits...again, we just kept laughing! We started the session off with pictures of Addy with us...she was not very cooperative, but to her defense she was in a place that she had never been before and there was just too much going on for her to sit still....I literally heard Cody's nose pop during one picture...I looked at him and he said, "I think she just broke my nose"....needless to say that was the last picture of Addy and us. Today we had our 32 week appointment. Everything was great! Livia's heartbeat was 150 and she was in a good position. Her head was down on my left side, bottom was up by my chest, and her legs and feet were on my right side. I gained 6 pounds over the last month....I don't think this is right! It can't be...I was instructed to try to maintain my weight for the next month since I am already at 30 pounds...this should be interesting.  I am getting so anxious and I'm counting down the days until I meet my sweet baby girl! Next week is my fall break...I'm planning on getting a lot of organizing and washing finished....along with our maternity session, a wedding, and a shower! Fun fun times ahead!

Wow...We had the best shower today! Everything was so pretty, the food was awesome, it was a lot of fun, and we received very nice gifts. For this shower it was a "Display Shower." It was so wonderful for everyone....No one had to wrap their gift, I didn't have to have all eyes on me for 3 hours, the guest didn't have to sit and watch me open presents for 3 hours, and I got to be a social butterfly and visit with everyone! Livia received so many great gifts....tons of cute outfits, a bath tub, all the necessary items for bath time, a baby jumper, burp clothes and bibs, diapers, soft blankets, a rocker and storage unit for her nursery.....and the list goes on! One of the activities during the shower was for everyone to write advice for Cody and me...We received so many sweet words of wisdom that we will use.  I love her tutu that Janet bought for her.
