Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

Today Livia is 10 days old and we took her for her newborn session with Shannon Payne. Since Livia decided to come early, Shannon was in town so we brought Livia to her mother-in-law's house for the session. We had so much fun! Shannon said that Livia smiled more than any newborn she had every photographed! Shannon did an amazing job and she was so good with Livia! Check out the final product! This is my favorite! I think she looks like a sweet angel! I love these sweet little toes!

Today was just a drive by weigh in for Livia. Yay she gained 5 ounces so she is back up to 6 lbs. 9 days old update... You picked your head up and turned it to the other side. You love to ride in the car. You love listening to music and to be sung to. The songs that you like are Jesus Loves me, I’m a little tea pot, You are my sunshine. You are still making the funny grunting noise and you make the funniest faces! You make us laugh so much! You are a wiggle worm! These are all pictures of you at 9 days old 

Today was Livia’s first Thanksgiving! The doctor was pretty sure that she wasn’t going to arrive before Thanksgiving…boy was he wrong! We had such a great day spending time with our family. A few of my friends came by to see Livia which made it an even better day! Livia was so good around everyone...she was definitely the center of attention! Trying to find clothes to fit our baby is so hard! I knew she had to have a Thanksgiving outfit, but I was limited on time! Like always my best friend Samantha came through for me! She had Dana Walker monogram a onsie with the cutest little turkey on it…Samantha was upset because Dana couldn’t fit Livia’s name on the onsie because it was so small…but that didn’t bother me one bit…I was just thankful Livia had a cute little Thanksgiving onsie to wear! We are so thankful for our family, friends, and especially our new baby girl! Thank you God for choosing us to be her parents…we are forever grateful! Our first Thanksgiving as a big happy family...

Today you  you are one week old. We can't believe how fast this week has flown by. These are the things we have noticed about you in just one week. 1. You make this funny grunting sound. 2. You a very strong and love to push with your feet. 3. You have already mastered rolling onto your side. 4. You have started trying to hold your head up 5. You are sleeping 3 to 4 hours during the night. 6. You love skin to skin contact with your daddy and me and we love it too! You have brought us so much joy in just one week...we are so thankful for you! We love you sweet Livia!

Today was Cody’s first day back to work and he was dreading it! So after we took Livia to her first doctor appoitment we surprised him by going to eat at Jason’s Deli. We got there at 10:30 so that there wouldn’t be many people there if any! He was so excited to see us!

We had Livia’s first doctor’s visit today. My mom came with us to help me. It was our first time meeting Dr. Montgomery and we love him!   Livia is 5 days old and she did amazing! She only cried when they weighed her and she cried only because the scale was cold. She lost 6 ounces which is normal, but everything else was great! Dr. Montgomery wants us to come back in on Friday to see if she has gained any of her weight back. You are such a sweet baby and we love you so much! Her gown is just a tad bit to big...preemie clothes are too small and newborn clothes are too big! We are going today to get her the correct head support.  Snoozing while we were waiting on Dr. Montgomery    She did not like the cold scale...I don't blame her! 5 lbs 12 oz Measuring her head.
