Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

We love American Idol and much to our surprise... Livia does too! She loves music and loves to be sang to…it was so funny…every time someone would sing she would “sing” with them…when they would stop she would stop! She has done this with me for a few weeks now, but to hear her do this with the contestants on TV made Cody and me laugh so hard! I really think she is going to love to sing! My Grandaddy thinks she is too….he had a dream of her being a singer….pretty funny! We will see sooner than later what talents our sweet Livia has been blessed with!

We went back home this weekend to celebrate Cody's birthday with my family....we had a great dinner and he received a lot of nice things....a few months back Cody had told my pawpaw that he needed a gun....so my sweet pawpaw gave him the gun that was his daddy's....how sweet was that!! Everyone loved playing with Livia! My grandmomma and grandaddy gave her, her first Valentine's Day gift...it was a recordable book! We can't wait to listen to it! My mom alway surprises Livia with a happy and this time it was the cutest little outfit! She is going to be so adorable in it! She also bought her an outfit for Mrs. Julie's house! Aunt Kim came to see her great wonderful niece and she brought Livia her Valentine's gift! She got her two outfits, two bows, and a book! Cody went back home today to play golf with his buddies....we planned on his dad coming down to stay the weekend, but he is in the studio recording all of the songs he has written with Vince Gill! I thought...

We went to Nashville this weekend to celebrate Cody's 28th birthday! We had so much fun! Friday we had dinner and visited with Larry and Janet. Saturday Larry and Cody went to Golf Galaxy to spend his gift cards that they gave him for his birthday! Janet, Livia, and I went out for a shopping adventure! We first went to tweed baby outfitters! I love, love, love this store and Maggie! We decided that we would take  Livia back home to the boys, because I didn't bring her stroller. Janet and I went to the Green Hills Mall...I hadn't been to Nordstrom since it opened, so I was anxious to check it out! It was everything I thought it would be!!! I bought Livia a cute comfortable outfit...we then went to the Seven store to get Cody a pair of jeans for his birthday! And it wouldn't have been a complete shopping trip if we didn't stroll through Macy's! Oh how I love the Green Hills Mall and shopping! After we got back home, Cody and I got ready and had our first post bab...

You have found your hands and you try to eat them all the time! We think you might be trying to start teething. You are holding your head up so good! You coo and we take turns "talking" to one another!  You have a really high pitched coo that we love so much! You raise your eyebrows when you get excited! You smile all the time! You have started drinking 5 oz. You rolled from your belly to your back for the first time at your 2 month checkup. You started talking in the car. You are trying to sit up with the help from us.

I have dreaded this doctor's appointment from day 1....I am terrified of shots so of course I would be terrified for Livia to get her shots...Cody met us at the Doctor's office which made it a lot easier for me...and she actually did great! We held her hands (this is what my mom always did and still does for me) and she only cried for a few seconds....I had given her tylenol 30 minutes before her appointment to prevent fever and pain...she never had fever with this round of shots! She weighed 11 lbs and she was 20 inches long. Her head had grown 2 inches also. He predicted that Livia will be 5'7'' when she gets older.  Dr. Montgomery was very proud of all her gains. When he put her on her tummy to see how well she could hold her head up she did great....then much to our surprise she rolled all the way over...he couldn't believe it and neither could we! He is so wonderful to Livia! We just love him! 

You are trying so hard to talk and are doing a good job! We have girl talk about everything! You and your daddy talk about everything too! He says you are going to be a golfer or basketball player...we'll see! You heard my voice from across the room and found and locked eyes with me! This made my heart happy!  You are reaching all the time for things! You especially like your turquoise elephant that makes noise. You love your playmat...you talk to the tucan and the giraffe...you will reach for the ball that plays music and when the music starts you smile and coo! It is so sweet! You are sleeping 5-6 hours through the night...you go to bed about 9 or 10 and wake up at 3 or 4. You have moved from newborn diapers to a size 1.....and you have moved from newborn clothes to size 0-3 months....you are a growing girl! We have changed your formula again to Gerber Good Start...it seems to be just what you need! We also changed your bottles to the Playtex N...

You started Mrs. Julie's on Monday...you had a great day! Your friends that stay with you are Lucas, Izzy, Peighton, and Landon. I started back to work and it was so hard....I was so sad that I had to leave you!  We have changed your formula to Enfamil Gentlease....this has helped your tummy so much...you are a slow eater and if your milk gets cold you will not drink it. I thought it might just be me thinking this, but on Thursday Yaya, Mrs. Julie's mom, said the same thing!  You love your Baby Einstein dvd. You and daddy exercise almost every night...you push off of his hands while laying down and you make it all the way from his tummy to his face. You also walk up his stomach. You are even more observant. You love bath time now! You are eating 4 oz. You eat about every 2-3 hours during the day...your last feeding of the night is at 9 then you wake up around 12 and then at 4. You are doing so good!  Lucas and Livia's fir...
