7 weeks update

You started Mrs. Julie's on Monday...you had a great day!

Your friends that stay with you are Lucas, Izzy, Peighton, and Landon.

I started back to work and it was so hard....I was so sad that I had to leave you! 

We have changed your formula to Enfamil Gentlease....this has helped your tummy so much...you are a slow eater and if your milk gets cold you will not drink it. I thought it might just be me thinking this, but on Thursday Yaya, Mrs. Julie's mom, said the same thing! 
You love your Baby Einstein dvd.

You and daddy exercise almost every night...you push off of his hands while laying down and you make it all the way from his tummy to his face.

You also walk up his stomach.

You are even more observant.
You love bath time now!

You are eating 4 oz.

You eat about every 2-3 hours during the day...your last feeding of the night is at 9 then you wake up around 12 and then at 4. You are doing so good!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
