9 week updates

You have found your hands and you try to eat them all the time! We think you might be trying to start teething.

You are holding your head up so good!

You coo and we take turns "talking" to one another! 

You have a really high pitched coo that we love so much!

You raise your eyebrows when you get excited!

You smile all the time!

You have started drinking 5 oz.

You rolled from your belly to your back for the first time at your 2 month checkup.

You started talking in the car.

You are trying to sit up with the help from us.

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...

Slumber Party in Liv's Room

This morning we woke up and Elsie had gotten Liv's baby doll crib out of the toy room and was hanging out in the crib in Liv's room. He must have had a long night at the North Pole...Christmas is only 6 days away!!!!
