4th of July

We started our day by going to the pool! There were a more kids today than usual which made it more exciting for Liv...she takes after her daddy...and is so the people watcher! Where there are people we have one happy baby!!

In the years past we have either gone to Newbern or Nashville for the 4th, but this year was different..The tradition in Newbern is to eat BBQ and then head to the High School and watch the fireworks in the back of my pawpaw's truck...the tradition in Nashville is to go to Bellemeade Gold course and watch the fireworks there! But this year we are making our very on traditions! Our plans were slightly altered due to the weather! We had planned on going to the Redbirds game and then watching the fireworks show after the game...but considering the game starts at 6:00 and the 100 degree temps, we had to come up with a different plan! So we headed to Germantown for their Fireworks show! We had dinner at Firehouse Subs and being that this was our first time for the G'town fireworks we didn't really know where to sit...we drove around looking for somewhere good, but we ended up right where we started! We found a grassy spot, laid our blanket out, and enjoyed the beautiful fireworks! Livia loved crawling around on the blanket...she especially loved watching all the kids around her! She wasn't afraid of the fireworks and really enjoyed them! We had a great time celebrating this special day with our little family...but we sure did miss our big family!!!
