Easter party at Mrs. Julie's

We made Easter bunny cupcakes for all of Livia's friends at Mrs. J's and a few others too! We had a lot of fun making them! When we got to Mrs. J's house Lucas was waiting Livia so he could give her his present!
The bunny cupcakes turned out just like we wanted!
We boxed them up for all of Liv's friends
Happy Easter friends!

Thank you for the present, Lucas!

Exchanging gifts!

It looks like she is saying, "Here Lucas!"

Thank you Mrs. Julie for the Easter present!

Yummy!

Evidently they were good!!! Haha! Happy Easter friends!

Rock Your Socks for Lera {SAVE THE DATE}

Image
We are extra excited to celebrate our first World Down Syndrome Day! Join us as we “Rock our Socks” for Lera!  March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), the day the Down syndrome community creates a single, global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.  Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate by wearing brightly colored or mismatched socks.  March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!  We believe it is our family’s mission to raise awareness about our precious Lera, and help change the way the world views Down syndrome one extraordinary day at a time!  💛💙 If you choose to “Rock Your Socks” please share your picture with us to document on the blog! This blog will be printed and used as Lera’s baby book. If you choose...

And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
