Mama Jane's!!!!

Today was Livia's first day at Mama Jane's. I cannot express how excited and grateful we are that she is able to stay with her these last couple weeks of school....she will be staying with her next school year as well!! God is so good!!!!! We arrived and I immediately felt welcome! She greeted us with a big hug and said "Welcome Home!" This made my heart smile! Livia smiled so big when Jane started talking to her! She sent updates through the day and I could tell Livia was having a great day! When I picked her up Mama Jane and Liv were swinging on the front porch and all the other children were playing!!!! We all hung out on the porch for a while... which was a lot of fun! Livia had a wonderful day and evidently played hard....as soon as we drove out of the driveway she was fast asleep!  


We are excited to be with the Mills' girls! 
Livia was trying to pull Landrey closer! They are 3 months in age difference.








The one and only Mama Jane!!!! We are so happy!!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
