Santa Claus came to our house and left tons of fun toys for Livia! It was so sweet to see her little face when she saw it all! She didn't really know what to think at first....but it only took her a minute and she began playing! Thank you, Santa for rewarding Livia for being a perfect little girl!!!
As for the real reason for Christmas....we honored Jesus by singing to him and like always talking to him throughout the day! Thank you God for sending your son to us! Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!!!
This is our video of her! It is a bit long, but something we will cherish for a lifetime!
Her stocking was stuffed with sippy cups, baby fruit strips, socks, and tights!
The first thing she went to was her jogging stroller! She is going to be a runner like her daddy!
Fun puzzles, finger paint, and games!
Toy box, bathing suit, boots, potty seat, and portable headrest DVD players for the car!
Golf clubs and a billibo!
Livia is into soft plush toys, babies, blankies! She loved her game cube for this reason!
She loved looking at all her toys in her new toy box....btw we now need 3 more!
We are extra excited to celebrate our first World Down Syndrome Day! Join us as we “Rock our Socks” for Lera! March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), the day the Down syndrome community creates a single, global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome. Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate by wearing brightly colored or mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks! We believe it is our family’s mission to raise awareness about our precious Lera, and help change the way the world views Down syndrome one extraordinary day at a time! 💛💙 If you choose to “Rock Your Socks” please share your picture with us to document on the blog! This blog will be printed and used as Lera’s baby book. If you choose...

Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
