Christmas crafts!

Liv and I had the best day! We made her handprint ornament, finger and toe painted, and made her cookie plate for Santa Claus! Oh how I love being off work and getting to do all this fun stuff with my baby girl!

She was helping me knead the clay!
I will cherish this precious little hand print FOREVER!
We made these for all the grandparents and of course for us too!  I love those little mistletoes!!!!

It is hard to se... but Santa's beard is made from Livia's handprint!
The finished product! What a fun fun day!

Rock Your Socks for Lera {SAVE THE DATE}

We are extra excited to celebrate our first World Down Syndrome Day! Join us as we “Rock our Socks” for Lera!  March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), the day the Down syndrome community creates a single, global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.  Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate by wearing brightly colored or mismatched socks.  March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!  We believe it is our family’s mission to raise awareness about our precious Lera, and help change the way the world views Down syndrome one extraordinary day at a time!  💛💙 If you choose to “Rock Your Socks” please share your picture with us to document on the blog! This blog will be printed and used as Lera’s baby book. If you choose...

And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
