Party, team work, and visit from Gran and G daddy!

This weekend we celebrated a very special little girls 3rd birthday....Ainsley!!! She had a "Nastics" themed birthday party and the kids loved it...even the babies! The big kids could do everything, but the babies ran around and went up and down the cheese mat! Everything was perfect! 

Before Larry and Janet came to visit we quickly picked up and vacuumed the house. Livia likes to help me vacuum which takes much longer and on a normal day is perfect! Since we were in a hurry I decided to put on my ERGO baby carrier and try Liv on my back...It was awesome for both of us!!! She hung out and didn't make a peep the whole time...and we vacuumed the whole house! That is what you call team work! Gran arrived and was so excited to see Liv!! G daddy met Cody at the golf course...Notice the name change...they went to Texas for Thanksgiving and got input from their family about a name for Larry...haha a year later he has a new name and he isn't certain of it...G daddy or L daddy, but the whole time he kept calling himself Pops...poor Liv she is going to be so confused! Anyhow...the guys played golf, but only 9...big surprise and the girls visited, had lunch, and played! Janet was so sweet to play with Liv while I put up the christmas tree...I did receive some help from Livia! Once the guys came home from golf they spent time with Liv! She was so sweet to everyone fever and all!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
