Lailee's 9 months updates

You weigh 19 lbs

You wear a size 4 diaper

You eat breakfast at 9, lunch at 2, and supper at 7!

You nap at 11 and 5!

You love tags...you will move whatever it is you are holding around until you find the tag!

You have started eating snacks...apple ginger organic cookies!

You have become so vocal! You just talk up a storm!

You can go from laying to sitting!

You crawl but you don't use both knees just yet!

You love to be sung to! Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" is your favorite song right now!

You are the dancing queen!

We love you so much! Your are so sweet and tender hearted. You are such a beautiful little girl inside and out! You have  really grown up this month and we love watching you! You are something so special! We are so proud to be your mommy and daddy! We thank Jesus for you each and every day!!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
