Lailee's 4 months

You weigh 12 lbs.

You are wearing a size 2 diaper.

You wear 0-3, 3, and 3-6 months clothes! 

At your first feeding in the morning you will arch your back and then wrap your arms around me! I love you so much! 

You love to make a fist and suck your first finger when your sleepy!

You drool alot and love to blow bubbles!

You are making the sweetest noises and talking up a storm! 

You love to be talked too... You just smile!! 

You only cry when your hungry or sleepy!!

You pinch....not on purpose of course!

You can roll over from your back to your belly! (3 1/2 months)

You are trying to sit up by yourself!

You love to be sung to!

Your favorite way to be held is upright...no more laying down for you!

You love to look at yourself in the mirror!

You love, love, love watching Livia!

You are the best sleeper...you had 2 nights where you woke up with a tummy ache!

We love you more than we could ever begin to describe! You are the perfect baby! Beautiful, smart, sweet, happy, loving, and smiley are all words that describe you! Daddy, Livia, and I love to talk to you and hear what you have to say back! We all three look at each other and laugh! We are so blessed to get to be your parents and we thank Jesus for you each and every day!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
