20 month updates

You weigh 24.8 lbs

You wear 18-24 months clothes!

You are in a size 5 shoe!

You are talking so good! Besides Mommy and Daddy you say eyes and moon the clearest!

Your hair just keeps getting thicker and thicker...it is still blonde!

You are the friendliest little thing! You will pucker your lips up and give everyone kisses!!! And everyone just eats it up! 

Your kiss face is the cutest I've ever seen... You pucker your lips up so high that they touch your nose!!

You can swim so good! You really like your puddle jumper... You lay on your belly and just kick, kick, kick!! You even jump off the stairs in the pool! 

You are FEARLESS! 

You still love to play outside!! We are so glad too! You have had several boo boo's this summer, but they don't phase you! You are one tough cookie!

To my knowledge you had your first Capri Sun....and loved it! 

The sweetest moment happened on the 4th of July! We were on our way home and I looked at you and told you I loved you so much! You looked at me and did your kiss face!!! It was the first time you have given me a kiss without me asking for one!!! My heart literally melted!!!!

You love tractors, big trucks, and bugs! You call every bug a beetle!

You fed the birds and giraffes at the zoo!

You love makeup... When you were 6 months old, your Emmi pretended to put some on you...but she really put lip stick on you... And to this day you are a lipstick/chapstick queen! 

Your "oh" face is priceless! And you do it all the time! 

Everything is uh um...instead of uh oh!! Adorable!

We introduced you to your potty and you took to it with ease! You get treats and stickers when you potty! We haven't gone completely to big girl panties but we will soon! 

When we say cheese you smile and say it back!

Your favorite game is hide in seek!

When someone or something is sleeping in a book, in real life, on tv...you say shhh hush and put your finger up by your mouth! 

You are seriously the sweetest and funniest little girl....EVERYTHING you do is perfect!!! You bring more joy and love to our lives than you will ever know!!! You are our world!!! We love you more than anything Liva!!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
