Daddy's Birthday Weekend

We headed home Friday afternoon to visit and celebrate my daddy's birthday...we haven't been home since Dec. 30..geez!!! My parents have been so good to us and have traveled to see us every time! We always have the best time and this time was no different!
Lulu got Aunt L's old purse and carried it around like a big girl! She even had her cell phone case. 
Liv loves her Aunt L so much! When she walks in the room Liv's whole face lights up and she stretches out her sweet little arms!
Saturday we went to Jack's 4th birthday party! I can't believe his is already 4!!
Thank goodness for my sister! She helped me so much! She even tackled the jump house!
Liv was all about the basketball! She may be a basketball star like her Daddy!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!! You are the sweetest man in the whole world! Seeing you with Livia reminds me why I love you so much and am so crazy about you! I hope you have had a wonderful day!   We love you so much!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
