Busy busy weekend!

This weekend was very productive! We celebrated Larry's birthday Saturday night. We went to dinner and came back to the house for cake and presents. Sunday I had tons and tons of energy and literally didn't sit all day long! I washed all Liv's NB- 6 months clothes that will be using for Lailee, organized them, and hung them all on hangers. I washed Lailee's car seat and cover. I washed the boppy pillow and cover....along with normal laundry, cleaned the house, and made a cake for a co-workers birthday! Looks like I am getting ready for a new family member to arrive! Janet went to the grocery store for me and made us dinner. They decided to stay another day, so I could go back to school and Livia could stay with them!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
