Livia's 1st Valentine's Day

Livia's first Valentine's Day was so sweet. We had a lot of fun celebrating with her! My mom stayed with us the whole week! That was the best Valentine's Day gift for all of us!
These are the Valentine's Day cards we sent to our family and Livia's friends!
They had so much fun with each other! If you notice in the corner...Addy loved Livia's doggy more than she did!
Cody made me a dozen chocolate covered strawberries! They were yummy!
First Valentine's as a family of 4.
We gave her a mobile to hang on her car seat and she loves it! It sings, lights up, and vibrates so the little bugs flutter their wings!
I had to get the doggy for her! It says...I love you this much!
What is Valentine's Day without a huge balloon!
Gran bought Livia these adorable pink jeans from our favorite store...Tweed.
Emmi and Papa bought Liv Your Baby Can Read!
Emmi and Papa also got her a little red stuffed bear. She loved that it was so little and she could hang onto it!
Cody loved the card Livia got for him!

We bought each other these pictures! Now our bedroom feels complete!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
