3 months update

You respond to your name.

You are still eating 4-5 oz of formula....you rarely eat 5 oz.

We moved you from a slow nipple to a medium one, but your are not ready for that one yet!

You wear a size 2 diaper.

You wear size 0-3 months and moving to 3 months clothes.

You weigh 12.8 lbs.

You are still sleeping in your bassinet. Our nightly routine is working so great! At 8:00 we give you a bath...next we feed you you last bottle...then we read you a book and say your night night prayers...and then we lay you down to sleep. I love watching you sleep...you look so peaceful!

You greet everyone with a smile!

You have started acting shy...when someone talks to you...you smile and tuck your head down and to the side..it pretty adorable!

You like to bounce and for us to pat your bottom.

You make bubbles and funny noises with your mouth.

We planned your first BIG trip...we are flying to Texas!

You love when we hook up the Ipod to your swing...your favorite song is Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus...pretty funny!

We love you so much Livia Taylor. We can't imagine life without you and it is really hard to remember life before you! We can't believe how fast three months has flown by and how many new little things you have started learning how to do! You are absolutely the most precious baby in the whole world! Every time I think about the day you were born tears of joy and happiness feel my eyes! You are such a little miracle We continue to thank Jesus for you each and everyday!!! We love watching you every second of the day! Emmi was talking to you and telling you that when she had me, we instantly became best friends...and we are so happy that you have instantly become our new best friend! We love you more than you will ever know!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
