10 weeks update

You are such a happy baby...especially in the morning! You are a morning person like your daddy and me!

You have the sweetest smile....you smile with your eyes!!!

You have really started sitting up with help.

You weigh 11 lbs 14 oz and are 21 3/4 inches tall.

I took you to the doctor on Tuesday because you had been crying, not eating all of your bottle, and you had a little cough over the weekend and at Mrs. Julie's...Dr. Montogomery said that you were perfect, but he did up your acid reflux medicine to 1.2 mL.

You found your feet over the weekend at Emmi and Papa's house...it was so cute....you kept looking at them all weekend!


You got your first maincure from Mrs. Julie on Tuesday! She painted your nails light pink!
You are sleeping from 9 to 5 every night! You are a great sleeper!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
