Lailee's 1st birthday PARTY!

What had the PERFECT day!!!! Celebrating our baby's first birthday with family, friends, and beautiful weather...how could it get any better!! When we started thinking about the theme for Lailee we of course thought about all the things she loves! We had bought the girls "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" and let's just say Lailee was hooked!!! She especially loved listening to and watching it on you tube!! So I started playing around with different thoughts and we came up with "Cute as a Button" with Pete as the entertainment!! When the kids arrived they began their button art! This was a hit!! Then we ate! We had Jason's Deli cater it which was so nice and super yummy! We had turkey, chicken salad, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit salad, chips, and pickles! Once everyone was finished we watched "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" on the big screen (I highly suggest Cromecast...you can get it at best buy for 35 dollars...it picks up your wifi....you can use your computer, IPad, or smart phone to display you tube videos or anything from the internet to your tv!) The kids were so cute watching it and dancing to it...especially Lailee! She was squealing and dancing! It was priceless! Then it was time for the SMASH...we changed Lailee's outfit and put her in a tutu! Everyone sang to her, we blew out her candles, and then she started picking...not smashing! She loved the frosting! Once she found the chocolate she loved it too! After everyone had cake the kiddos headed outside to play for a few minutes...then they came back in to watch Lailee open her presents! I have been so excited all week about "Barklee" the dog! One of our friends (Monica) offered us their Fur Real Puppy...I didn't have any idea what it do or how awesome it would be! Mama Jane just happened to buy one over the weekend and had introduced hers to the kids during the week! So I knew how much Lailee and Livia loved it! We hid Barklee all week and then for her last gift we brought him out...he had a balloon around his neck and was ready to put on a show! Lailee was so excited....she howled like him, talked to him, loved on him...etc! She was just as surprised as I had imagined and hoped! After presents everyone went out and played more! It was a great party and I was so pleased with how everything turned out..a HUGE shout out to my parents and my sister for helping me organize and set everything up, wrap water bottles, make tissue poms, glue pictures, make buttons, put the play house together, clean my house, laugh with me, and make staying up to 1:30 am fun! You are simply the best!! A huge shot out to Cody for letting us use Jason's Deli for the food....this helped so much!!! My heart is so full...I have so many things to be thankful for...truly everything in my life is a blessing...and right now I am thankful that today was a perfect day to celebrate my baby girls first year of life! She is the sweetest and greatest blessing we have received since Livia and we thank Jesus for her each and everyday! Happy Birthday precious Lailee! We love you more than you will ever know!!!
