22 months update

You love to dress up in clothes especially mine! 

You are in to opening and closing the doors...yes you can turn the knob now!!!!

Every time we get in the car you put your hand up to your ear and say "E E"..Papa! It

You say bicycle so good!

You will sing with us if we ask you too...you have the sweetest little voice!

You have started throwing little tantrums when you don't want to leave from somewhere!

You love to spin around! Your eyes go round and round...I remember this was one of my favorite things to do with Aunt L when she was a baby!

You use the big girl potty not a little potty all the time with us! Mama Jane says you won't tell her when you need to go...and I'm pretty sure it's because you are in a diaper at her house!

You LOVE Minnie and Mickey Mouse!

You are so friendly!!! 

You love to help with anything! 

We had our first big scare with high fever...You woke up with 105.1 and were shaking...talk about panicking! We gave you more than the normal tsp of ib prophen, put you in the bath tub, gave you Popsicles, and lots of fluids! It came down to 103 in 10 mins and then down to 101 in 30 mins...whew! I took you to the doctor and they couldn't find anything wrong with you so it is just a virus that has to pass!!! You also have little soars at the end of your tongue which could be part of hand foot mouth disease. Poor baby! We are mixing mylanta and benidryl and putting it on the soars to help the pain!

You are FUNNY!!!  I mean hilarious!! 

You set the table! 

You say eat eat eat when it's time eat!

You are talking sooooo good!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
