Family of 4 Weekend!

I love getting in the car and looking to my left and seeing Cody and looking in the back and seeing my two girls!!! Life is so good!!! It was cold and rainy on Saturday so we decided to take a trip to the mall and let let Livia ride the carousel! This was her first time and she really enjoyed it... She really wanted to do the jumping thing but of course she was too little...but try explaining that one to a 16 month old!
When we finished up riding we stopped by the hot dog stand and had a cheddar dog and it was so good....especially since I have been watching my portions and snacking.... 27 lbs down 9 more to go! Summer is very close!Sunday we hung out at home and then janet and I went to bargain hunt while the guys played with the girls! Janet was looking for baby stuff and she did really good! We found a cool high chair, an awesome car seat, a mattress for the pack n play, and a EverEarth garden activity cube!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
