Lailee's 4d ultrasound

Today was the day we got to truly see our precious Lailee Tate! She was so perfect! She moved so much during the ultrasound! At one point she opened her mouth and stuck her tongue out a little...it was so sweet! Then toward the end she opened her little eyes! Her heart beat was 161. She was a bit bashful and kept putting her hands and arms up on her face. She had her ankles crossed too just like her big sister! Lailee looks a lot like Livia...the only difference we could see was that her lips look bigger and her nose has a rounder end! She looks just like an angel! Seeing her makes us so anxious to hold her. Cody said he was ready for her to live with us...I told him that she already does...but he meant he is ready to have her in his arms! My mom and sister came down to see her also! They couldn't get over how beautiful she was! I emailed the pictures to Cody's parents and my dad....there responses we so sweet!

Hope your having a good day. I showed dad the pctures and he thinks she's a sweetheart. I can't wait to see her. Seeing those pictures makes me want to see her more so than before.

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
