Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

Today was a day that we have been waiting for ever since we found out about "the mess." The PET scan is a powerful tool that scans the whole body. It detects any cancer that may have spread to anywhere in the body particularly the bone and tissues. Mom's  CT scan came back perfect, so I had a really good feeling about this one too..but I would be lying to say there was that little what if...We put all our faith and trust in God and he didn't fail us once again! I am so so so so happy to say that my momma is cancer free and their is no evidence of disease in her body at all!!!!!! We serve a mighty mighty god who never fails us! We were all so excited when Dr. Martin shared the news...my mom literally kissed him on the cheek! He has been such a blessing to our family and we love the good news he has been able to bring us...however he is only the messenger! We give all the praise and glory to our ultimate healer...God! Now we can move forward to the next phase of this jo...

My Aunt says there is something to be said about being home with your babies...and I couldn't agree more! I was telling her that this summer has mostly been spent at home because with my babies only being 16 months apart it is a little more challenging to go places if I don't have an extra set of hands! Livia is very independant for her age, but at the same time she is only 19 months old and busy, busy, busy....Lailee is 3 months old and definitely likes to do more than just sit in a car seat...so in a nut shell if I had 2 more arms and hands I would be dangerous!!!! ;-) My aunt looked at me and said...baby you have the rest of their lives to go, go, go with your babies!!! And she is right!! With that being said we have had the best summer yet (minus my mom's situation) spending every minute with each other! We have had a several play dates, Kindermusik on Tuesday, alot of pool time, but most of our time has been spent in the comfort of our home! And boy have we had enjoyed...

You weigh 24.8 lbs You wear 18-24 months clothes! You are in a size 5 shoe! You are talking so good! Besides Mommy and Daddy you say eyes and moon the clearest! Your hair just keeps getting thicker and thicker...it is still blonde! You are the friendliest little thing! You will pucker your lips up and give everyone kisses!!! And everyone just eats it up!  Your kiss face is the cutest I've ever seen... You pucker your lips up so high that they touch your nose!! You can swim so good! You really like your puddle jumper... You lay on your belly and just kick, kick, kick!! You even jump off the stairs in the pool!  You are FEARLESS!  You still love to play outside!! We are so glad too! You have had several boo boo's this summer, but they don't phase you! You are one tough cookie! To my knowledge you had your first Capri Sun....and loved it!  The sweetest moment happened on the 4th of Jul...

This week was full of Kindermusik, shopping, birthday party, visit from my student, Emmi and papa times 2, our anniversary, Lailee turned 4 months, a day with daddy, big girl panties, and another birthday! Livia is going through a stage where she puts her bottom teeth in front of her top teeth when we tell her to smile! Hilarious! My happy baby girl is growing up quick! We taught her a few words for sign language when she was a baby...this is how she interpreted more! 1 finger and her hand pushed together!  Hope's princess and tutu party! Lailee slept only for a minute and then she wanted in on all the fun! My best effort at a picture with both girls! Haha! Liv would not let Cody put her down! Big loves for her daddy! Big girl panties! I let her choose and she picked Minnie Mouse and Daisy!  Laille and Cody love to relax on the new play area! She is so happy! PERFECT ANGEL!

You weigh 12 lbs. You are wearing a size 2 diaper. You wear 0-3, 3, and 3-6 months clothes!  At your first feeding in the morning you will arch your back and then wrap your arms around me! I love you so much!  You love to make a fist and suck your first finger when your sleepy! You drool alot and love to blow bubbles! You are making the sweetest noises and talking up a storm!  You love to be talked too... You just smile!!  You only cry when your hungry or sleepy!! You pinch....not on purpose of course! You can roll over from your back to your belly! (3 1/2 months) You are trying to sit up by yourself! You love to be sung to! Your favorite way to be held is upright...no more laying down for you! You love to look at yourself in the mirror! You love, love, love watching Livia! You are the best sleeper...you had 2 nights where you woke up with a tummy ache!...

Echocardiogram, PET scan, chemo 8 times starting on July 29th ending on November 4th, radiation, 17 doses of the her2 injection, 10 years of the anti estrogen pill. This is the plan given by the oncologist and we are thankful for it...however we know who is in control of everything that happens in our lives.....GOD!!! God has his own plan that I believe will be revealed to us. Something good will come out of this situation...look at the awesomeness that came out of the horrible situation Jesus was put through for our salvation...look at what Paul accomplished while in prison...he wrote part of the New Testament! These are just 2 out of many examples from the bible! I am a firm believer that when 2 or more gather together and agree on any one thing it shall be done! So please agree with me on this prayer! Lord reveal your good to us... we plead the blood of Jesus over my momma and ask that you protect her and keep her completely healthy with no side affects throughout this journey! We ...

This week we visited with my momma and daddy, went to the zoo with friends, celebrated the 4th of July with Larry and Janet, went to the Germantown fireworks, went swimming, took advantage of the perfect temperatures and played hard, went back home for another visit with Momma and Daddy, and then they came back up on Sunday to spend the night with us!
