Happy 2nd Birthday to you, our baby girl! You have been so excited about your birthday...when we asked you who is coming to your party, you will say "moo!" If we ask whose birthday it is you say "mine!" You woke up Saturday morning to balloons all over the house! You immediately grabbed the 2 and started showing us! Daddy made you birthday waffles...then it was time to get ready for your big party! Our family has a special way with making everyone feel special on their birthday young or old and I LOVE it too! It's not just a birthday.... it is the day you were born, the day your life began in this world, the beginning of you...and I believe in making that person feel special in every way...so that is just what I tried to do for your birthday! When I began planning your birthday of course I thought about everything you were into....tractors, farm animals, minnie mouse, and princesses! I played around with a tractor/animal theme party, but it just wasn't working out and now I know why!!! I then found Happy Times traveling petting zoo and just knew this was it....I knew you would be the happiest little girl, for all the animals to come to her house and could picture your little face lighting up with excitement when you saw all of them!!! I chose to do a more trendy farm theme instead of the traditional red paisley...it turned out just like I had imagined! We had the petting zoo in our side yard, the double gates open to the back yard so you and your friends could run back and forth, and your cake table and gifts in the outdoor living! The covered hay bails were a hit...I put towels under them so the hay wouldn't tear the table cloths that I covered them with... they were rather comfy! I had FancyCakes by Frances make your cake again this year and it was absolutely adorable and super yummy! It was a 10:00 party so we served cake, milk and ice cream! I stayed with the animal theme for the "animal feed" (party favors). I made hay bails (rice crispy treats wrapped with twizzlers), oreos (tractor wheels), chex mix and popcorn (chicken feed), milk duds (cow patties), and chocolate milk straws! Every child got to choose one and it turned out really cute! The petting zoo was AMAZING!!! Everything about it...from Lorri (the owner) to Charlie (the pony). Lorri was so great with your friends, their parents, and you...the birthday girl! She made you feel very special. She even let you drive the fire truck! She was so helpful in giving us ideas for pictures too! The weather was perfect...68 for a high and an overcast sky...it really couldn't have been any better! It was perfect! You had the best day! The animals that were at your party were a pony, llama, zebu (exotic bull), Chinese silky chickens, rabbits, guinea pig, pig, turkeys, and ducks! They brought the feed and brushes so everyone could feed them and brush them whenever they wanted! Charlie the pony was a big hit, but the fire truck ride was the biggest hit! Lorri and the animals stayed from 10-11:30! You did not want the animals to leave! But it was time for cake and ice cream so that helped you forget about them leaving! We sang happy birthday to you and you were so amazed! You had the sweetest look on your face! You blew your candle out and then it was time to dig in! We ate and then you and your friends played on the play set! We saved your presents for last! After the party we played with all your new toys, watched your new Disney movie "Brave", and ate some more cake! A truly perfect day!!!!
