HOME!!

No matter how much time passes by....missing HOME never gets easier! So I take advantage of every chance I get to go HOME!!! We had a wonderful time! Cody and I were going to go eat on Friday, but Momma had cooked a "Michelle Dean" dinner that we couldn't pass up! Ham, hash brown casserole, green beans, slaw, rolls, cranberry sauce, and sweet tea...it doesn't get any better! Every bite Livia took ended with an UMMM!!! Haha! We played outside until it was time for baths and bed! Saturday we woke up pretty early! Liv never sleeps late when we are home...and I know why...its because she has so much fun with Emmi and Papa so she doesn't have time to sleep in! It was a rainy day but that didn't stop any of us! We played in the rain all day! Cody and I went out to eat and Momma and Daddy got there own time with the girls! My Nana and Mr. Ronnie came up to visit! They are all about the girls! We ended the weekend by having a yummy breakfast made by Livia and Papa!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
