Lailee's 3 months updates

You weigh 10.6 lbs

You are 22 1/2 inches long 

You are eating every 4 hours still...and your schedule is still the same 5,9,1,5,9.

You wear a size 0-3 months and have started wearing some 3 months. They are still a little big though!

You found your feet at Emmi and Papa's while your daddy and me were in Hot Springs! It is so sweet!!

You tried your first bottle of formula...since I know that cow's milk upsets your tummy therefore I don't drink it we bought the Enfamil prosobee and you did perfect!

You have started making noises and bubbles with your mouth. We think you might have a sweet raspy voice! 

You had a touch of thrush. The doctor called you in nystatin...that didn't clear it up so Emmi told us about gentian violet and that did the trick! 

You are sleeping 11-12 hours every night.

When you nurse you hold your hands like you would hold a bottle.

You love love love Livia!!! It makes my heart so happy!! You will look for her and when you find her you just stare and smile!! She loves you so much!!!

You went to your first water park the Kroc center...We put you in the water and you liked it!

You love to take a bath!

You make so many facial expressions like Livia...but you girls have started to develop your own look! 

You have chuckled a few times! 

Your eyes are deep deep blue! 

You love to be held tight!

You are precious and perfect in every way! We tell you this 100 times a day! You never stop smiling which makes every minute of the day even sweeter! We have already claimed that you are going to have the kindest heart! We can just tell! You are beautiful inside and out! We are so in love with you and our lives couldn't be any more perfect!! We thank Jesus for you each and every day!!!! We are blessed beyond words!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given.
