Lailee's 2 month updates

You weigh 10.6 lbs.

You are tall 24 inches tall.

 You are wearing 0-3 months clothes.

 Your feeding schedule is 5, 9, 1, 5, 9 and you take 5 ounces during the day at Mama Jane's!

You smile so much!!!

You have started making noises cooing at 6 weeks and 5 days!

You are seriously the most mellow baby!

You are an awesome sleeper you have slept 5-6 hours through the night since 5 weeks! Starting at 6 weeks you have slept all night long seriously 7-8 1/2 hours! That's unheard of sweet girl!

You love to be held tight and snuggle!
You have the longest black eyelashes.

You are in a size 1 diaper!

You spent the night at Emmi and Papa's for the first time and slept right in between them!

 I love when you look around with your mouth open and stick your tongue out! So cute!

 We let you lay with Liv in her crib at night while we say our night night prayers! She loves this so much and you do too!

We celebrated our first Mother's Day together!

Lailee,
You have brought more joy to our lives than even before! Watching you start to interact with us makes our day! When we think we can't love you more than we already do...it happens and our love just keeps growing! You are seriously the sweetest baby in the whole world!! Nothing bothers you and you just go with the flow! We love when you look at us straight in the eyes...talk about melting our hearts! You are something special and we thank Jesus for you each and every day! We love you Lailee Tayte!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
