18 months updates!!!

You weigh 24.4 lbs.

You love to carry your Easter basket like a purse and put all sorts of odds and ends in it. Then you take them out and do it all over!

You give us this look with your eyes and we think you picked it up from Mommy when I say No to you!

You love to put Lailee's fufu in her mouth and then take it out! We are practicing only putting it in!

You have finally started wearing a bow in your hair without a headband!

You still love to play outside!

You can babble with the best of them! It is so cute and we talk right back to you! We are getting pretty good at knowing what you are trying to say! You chuckle in place of saying yes.

You work out with me! You are awesome at push ups.. When you do crunches you raise your legs up!

You can say Dada, Momma, Lailee, Emmi, Papa, L, Zoe, Addy, bye, hi, boo boo, doggie, tractor, moon, Gran, G-daddy.

You are at the stage where we can tell you to say something and you try to say it! We love it!

You run instead of walk!

You love to be sung to!

We can't believe you are 1 1/2 years old!!! We are more in love with you than ever before! You are the greatest gift from God and we are so thankful for you! You have the sweetest and funniest personality. Your daddy and I never stop smiling and laughing at you! You are so smart and amaze us each and everyday! You make us the proudest parents on Earth! Daddy said the other day that he doesn't want you to get big, he wants you to stay your age right now because you are just perfect and so much fun...I had to help him understand that life with you is just going to keep getting better! We love you more than anything in this world doll baby!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
