30 weeks!

My how time has flown....I can't believe we are already at week 30! Our baby is growing so much along with my cravings! I'm eating things that I would have liked to eat when I wasn't pregnant (and could use self-control) and it's wonderful! My thinking is that I better enjoy these little slip ups now because in 10 weeks it will be back to my old ways! Livia is a very active baby especially when I eat and at 5:00 in the a.m. when the alarm goes off for her daddy to wake up. It's like she hears the beeping of the alarm and thinks that it is mommy and Liv's wake up call too. Pretty funny....I am sleeping with an extra pillow now because it is getting harder to find a comfortable position...poorCody...I toss and turn all night and it wouldn't be so bad if it were just me, but the pillow has to come too..I've wacked him with the pillow a few times..Sorry Cody!  One of my friends has said from Day 1 that she can't wait until I start to waddle...I told her ...

Amazing discovery...

As soon as the ultrasound tech printed the 4D pictures for us, my mom saw the picture below and said... "Look Laurin." "It looks like God's hands are around Livia." I couldn't believe what we had noticed! Then, a lady I work with and a such sweet friend sent me a messege on facebook that said...."Laurin, I got chills." "It looks like there are hands holding her sweet face." Then a dear friend of mine called me tonight and when I answered it was her 5 year old little girl. She said (in the sweetest voice)..."Laurin, I see your baby and whose hands are those?" "Are they Jesus' hands?" It is pretty amazing that no matter the age we can all see the same thing in this picture! Thank you Lord for protecting and keeping your hands around our sweet angel everyday!

4D ultrasound = amazing

Our 4D ultrasound was absolutely amazing! Our sweet girl wouldn't move her hands away from her face, but the tech was able to get some pretty cool pictures. See what you think! Her nose was pressed against the placenta....hehe.....we are in awe of our sweet girl.  Cody and I can't wait to hold her! Her lips are so cute in this picture! Her little eyes were open and she was frowning because the tech put this vibrating thing against my belly to try to get her to move her hands away from her face. It's evident that she didn't like it! She is so perfect! We are so blessed and thankful for this baby girl! We love you Livia!

7 months!

Today marks 28 weeks....woohoo...we are in the third and final trimester! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel....I feel great and I am starting to really look pregnant! Today was my first time to wear maternity jeans and they felt amazing! I've been stubborn up to this point in wearing all of my normal clothes, but I can't do it anymore! I'm to the point where maternity clothes it is! We get to see our girl on Monday and we are so excited! It is the 4D ultrasound so we will be able to see all of her sweet features! I also have to do the glucose test....I hear the drink isn't that bad...we'll see! I can't wait to update everyone with our pictures!

Registering for baby Livia

While Cody and I were in Nashville this weekend, I thought I would go register at one of my favorite stores for babies/toddlers.....Tweed Baby Outfitters! The owner, Maggie, is absolutely adorable! She was so helpful with every question I had. One of my favorite items that I registered for is the petunia pickle bottom satchel. It is so awesome! You can put it on shoulder as a tote, put the straps on for a backpack, or go with the messenger look! Perfect for any adventure! I also love the PPB clutch that I registered for. This will be great for quick trips to Target! I love the aden+anais swaddles and bib set too! My registry can be viewed on her blog page! http://tweedinthevillage.blogspot.com/2011/09/announcing-baby-livia-taylor.html

I'm back to school for another great year! My group of students are absolutely wonderful! I have enjoyed getting to know them and look forward to making tons of awesome memories with them this year!

24 week update

We had our 24 week appointment today and received all positive news!! Dr. Taylor found Liv's heartbeat instantly...I love hearing that sweet sound! Her heartbeat was around 150. This month I gained 4lbs so now I have officially gained 20lbs....Dr. Taylor said that he wasn't concerned with my weight at this point and to keep up the good work....what a relief! Our next appointment is scheduled for September 12th. I will be doing the glucose test at this appointment AND having our 3D/4D ultrasound! We can't wait to see what and who our girl looks like!
