Baby Willoughby THREE
7 week ultrasound
It’s confirmed....the Willoughby’s are adding another baby to our family! The ultrasound showed everything our doctor needed to see. What a blessing! Our due date is November 23.
11 week ultrasound
Today we got to see our baby. The ultrasound tech said she was measuring a week bigger and she might be our biggest baby yet! Liv weighed 6.1lbs and Lai weighed 7.1lbs. If this trend continues this baby could be 8lbs.
Dr. Johnson said she saw thickening of the nuchal fold which raises a red flag to investigate further. We did the genetic screening so we will wait to see the results from it but we are believing that everything is perfect with our baby!
12 weeks
The genetic screening results came back that our baby has a 76% predictive value for having Down’s Syndrome...definitely not what we were praying or believing for. Cody and I and our family are standing firm on God’s promise and we will not be shaken by this.
14 weeks ultrasound
Lera was stretched completely out and would not move from the corner of my tummy. She was all snuggled up! She kept her little ankles crossed the entire ultrasound which was 20 minutes. Liv and Lai would do this too!
I am grateful to report that we had a really great doctor’s appointment with our high risk doctor, Dr. Tate. The ultrasound showed that the thickened nuchal fold was not present. ππ»ππΌ It showed our baby was perfectly healthy. The high risk doctor was amazing and went over everything with us in a very positive (not scary) way. She said because we are opting out of the amniocentesis we will not know for sure about Down’s until she is here, however they will be doing several ultrasounds to make sure our girl keeps progressing. Praise Jesus for this!!! Continue to pray for our baby girl! Next high risk appointment is June 23. Thank you so much for your prayers.ππ»ππ»ππ»
And the gender is…..
Baby Willoughby 3 is a......GIRL!π
We are thrilled and cannot wait to watch our three girls as sweet sisters! Liv and I thought our baby might be boy only because I have been so sick...I wasn’t with Liv and Lai. However my momma came to visit me a few weeks ago in 3 different dreams and a baby girl was in each one. This totally made me change my mind, but Cody said since I initially thought boy I had to wear blue! Haha...he just wanted to prove me wrong! Cody and Lai thought it was going to be a girl and they were right!
20 weeks
We have decided to switch OB’s. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it should be, but in the end Dr. Malone accepted us and we are so very thankful!
22 weeks
We love our high risk ultrasound tech, Janet! She is so upfront and honest about everything! Today we finished the anatomy scan and Lera’s heart, bowles, tummy, brain…are growing perfectly!
23 weeks
Today we met our new OB, Dr Shannon Malone! Oh my goodness she is the sweetest and biggest blessing! I didn’t realize a doctor could be so loving, positive, and encouraging! She gave us so many resources and suggestions. We left her even more excited about our baby!
28 weeks
High risk check up today! Our sweet girl is still growing perfectly! She weighed in at a whopping 2 lbs and 11 ounces. She was a little more cooperative today so we could see her sweet face. We could even see her hair and eyelashes! We are already so in love with her.
30 weeks
Mommy is weighing in at 151 lbs! I will start seeing Dr. Malone every week starting at 32 weeks which means an ultrasound every week to see our girl! Her heart beat was perfect and now that I am in the third trimester, Dr. M highly recommended I get the Covid Vaccine (Pfizer) because it is fighting the Delta Variant better. I made the appointment and went Friday. When Lera kicks Cody will push my tummy and she will kick back! They are already plying and it is oh So sweet!!
31 weeks
First time for Lera to have hiccups! The countdown to meeting our baby girl is on!!
36 weeks
Wow…I started having Braxton Hicks contractions last night and I don’t remember them ever being so strong. I woke up today still having them and they are very frequent (5 mins apart). I called Dr. Malone’s office and they suggested I go to the hospital to be evaluated. So that’s just what I did! After spending the whole day enduring strong contractions they made the decision to give me Terbutaline to slow the contractions down and sent me home. I’m very sore but praying this works and Lera stays in my tummy at least one more week!
