Mother's Day 2015
I love celebrating Mother's Day for many many reasons, but above all I love celebrating the two most amazing blessings from God that made me a mother! My heart could not be filled with more joy and love! I thank God for them everyday multiple times a day and I graciously thank him for giving me the opportunity to be a mother! They are my heart and soul! I love you more than you will ever know my sweet Livia and Lailee!
We started the Mother's Day weekend by heading to Newbern to celebrate the amazing women in our lives....My Momma, Grandmomma, Nana, and Aunt Kim! We had a big cookout and had the best time!
Sunday I woke up before everyone to set Momma's gifts out on the table, so she would be surprised when she woke up! The girls were so sweet! They wished us Happy Mother's Day as soon as they woke up! We had breakfast with my momma and gave her a much needed spa package and a rose bush! Then we headed home to spend time with our little family of 4! When I got home Cody and the girls had got me my favorite fresh flowers, a much needed Vacuum cleaner (yes I asked for this), a massage, the sweetest cards, and had fun adventures planned for the day! We started by having lunch at my favorite sub shop...Firehouse Subs! Then we were off to the movie theater to see Home. This was our first movie theater experience and it was awesome! We loved the movie and all the treats that you just have to get when you go to the movie theater! We ended the day by visiting with Cody's mom!
Mother's Day is more meaningful for me than in the past! I am so thankful to have my mom here on this earth to celebrate with and for her to be able to watch me as a mother! For the longest time I thought having a baby was something that everyone could easily do. Since I have moved from Newborn, I have met so many new people...and formed some really great friendships that have helped open my eyes to the unfortunate struggle of infertility, the amazing opportunity of adoption, and the pain birth mother's must go through on this day from unselfishly giving their child to a chosen family or family member that can give them a well deserved "better" life, to losing a child. I prayed for all the biological, chosen, past, present, and future mother's and the people whose mother's have passed away to have peace, comfort, happiness, joy, understanding, and most of all love on this day! Happy Mother's day y'all!
