Cody surprised me on Mother's Day with a fully planned trip to Cancun for our 5 year anniversary! I was thrilled! We left out early Monday morning and arrived in paradise at 11:00! Our resort let us check in early and that was the start to an unforgettable week! We stayed at ME Cancun and it was beyond incredible...from our room, to the service, to the pool, to the cleanliness, to the sand, to the freshest food and drinks...etc it was UNBELIEVABLE! We are both early risers so we woke up at 6:30 every morning, looked outside to see the sun everyday, watched a little news, ate breakfast at the best breakfast buffet we both have ever experienced, and were laying poolside by 8:00 everyday! We loved getting to just chill out, relax, and enjoy each other's company...and people watch!!! We stayed by the pool until it was time for lunch and we ate at the beach house everyday! It was right on the beach so the view was perfect! For lunch we ate guacamole, quesadillas, nachos, wraps, ceviche, and on the last day a cheeseburger! Then we would go back to the pool and take naps, read, people watch, and swim and layout in the pool! Literally 8-10 hours outside everyday!! It doesn't get anymore relaxing! Then we would head up to get all dressed up for dinner.. Whe we were getting dressed we would watch tv...their were only 5 channels at that time that were in English ...we found a new favorite show The Big Bang Theory, got caught up on all the world news, and reunited with Friends! It was so much fun to just get to really watch tv with each other and laugh so hard because you could watch it without any interruptions and got to hear everything that was being said!!! We had to make reservations a day ahead of time for dinner so we tried every restaurant! Silk was our favorite! After dinner we would call the girls and get caught up on their day and then we would head to our room to call it a night! We woke up and did the same thing everyday!! It's what you call a true vacation! It was time to reflect, a time to focus on us and give each other our undivided attention...and to let it be a reminder of how beautiful this life is that we have made together!! It was incredible and we can't wait to go back!!

| As soon as we arrived we had lunch at the Beach House...this is where we ended up having lunch every day...you could have the waiters serve your lunch at your bed or lounge chair...but we liked having a little break from the sun and we also met our favorite waiter so we liked to visit him each day too! |

Our last day in paradise!
We had a competition of who could get the most tan...Cody's face, arms, and legs won... and I won for chest, stomach, and back!!
We had a delay in Cancun so we visited all 15 of the convenience stores, played what are you thinking, and people watched!
This was our last stop before we headed home...Rocking in rocking chairs at 10 pm in Charolette, NC!
And when we pulled up in the driveway this is what we saw...Thank you Momma and Livia and Lailee for being so sweet and thoughtful! This was the best!
