Lailee's 13 months updates

You weigh 22 lbs

You are 30 inches tall

You have 6 teeth!

You love to get Liv's Toodles and spin around so that she can't get it! You both laugh so hard!! 

You have started going to other people without hesitating! 

You have started crying more when we lay you down for bed...you are just getting older and more aware!!

We have stopped your bottle completely...your daddy was giving me a hard time about you being our last baby and not wanting to make you stop taking a bottle! You have done great! 

You are not allergic to regular milk...but we are debating on whether or not to give you girls soy or almond milk instead because of it being healthier!

You are so so sweet! You LOVE to be held...you will lay your head on my shoulder and it totally melts my heart!! 

You have taken 17 steps and are starting to walk more and more each day!

You are such a good eater!! You don't turn down any food! Not even an onion!

Your laugh is precious!! 

You have so many different facial expressions! We get so tickled at all of them! 

You stick your tongue out all the time!

You are talking all the time!

You have started crying when I leave you at Mama Jane's house....this makes me super sad but I know that you stop as soon as I am out of sight!

If I tell you to say cheese and smile you make the cutest funniest face ever!

Life with you just keeps getting better and better! You have the sweetest personality that makes us fall more and more in love with you everyday!! We are having the time of our lives being your mommy and daddy! You are exactly what we dreamed about when thinking about having a 2nd baby girl!! We love you more than you will ever know precious baby!!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
