First week back to work and MJ's!

This week was the first week back to work and Mama Jane's! I am really excited to say that everything has gone really smooth! Cody and I sat down to make a schedule that would work best for the girls and me in the morning and I have followed it to a "T"! Cody and I get everything ready the night before and he puts everything in the car. I wake up at 4:30, feed Lai at 5:30, get Liv up at 6, and leave the house by 6:30! Every morning this week I have found a sweet note in the seat of my car which totally makes my day! Friday the note was in my lunch! Cody has always been so sweet about leaving me notes in my lunch when he sends it, on my windshield, in my car, in my wallet...etc...but over the last several months we haven't left each other very many, so it was nice to get one each day! Work has been a little stressful this week being that it is TCAP week! However, Mrs. Gore has been so great to help me with my pumping schedule which relieved a lot of stress for me! When school is over I have been chomping at the bit to get to my girls! The girls have loved going back to Jane's this week...Liv has had a little separation anxiety in the morning, but Jane has reassured me that as soon as I shut the door she has stopped crying! Jane has made my week easier too by sending me sweet pictures and text throughout the day! She says Lailee is the most mellow baby she has ever seen and I totally agree with her! When we get home we play hard until supper time! The countdown is on...only 19 1/2 more days until we are out for summer!

Livia has been used to waking up at 8...as you can see waking up at 6 was just to early! This picture was taken at 9:00! Landrey and Livia are 3 months apart and big buddies... it looks like Landrey was wondering why her friend was sleeping and not playing with her!

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. We cried, we were mad, we prayed and processed and prayed some more. We shared the results with our closest family and friends and just like us, they prayed over our baby daily. After t...
