Surprise visit from our favorite people!

So Livia has been walking everywhere! She still falls down and crawls some too but for the most part she is a walking girl! When I told my mom Saturday morning I was telling her all about it! Momma and Daddy could hardly stand not seeing her do this! Well...much to our surprise we heard our garage door open and a sweet knock at our door....there is nothing like seeing your favorite people in the whole wide world when you least expect it...and anytime for that matter!!!! I was soooo excited! They were right on schedule with Livia's nap! She woke up about 10 minutes after they surprised us! She didn't walk as much, but I totally think it is because she loves them to hold her! That's what grandparents are for...right!? What a fun day we had!  Thank you Momma and Daddy for the surprise visit! Livia was so happy to see you and someone else was too! Hehe...Love you!

She is smarter than the person who invented this little snack holder! She uses her teeth to pop the top off!! I will have to say it is easier and you do get more when you do it this way....which totally defeats the purpose!


Can you tell she is loved just a little!

She is so funny! She picks things up and makes a grunting noise...we are wondering where she learned to do that?

Lera's Gift

                      Meet our precious baby girl, LERA MICHELLE! Cody and I are choosing to share Lera’s story to hopefully encourage others that may have a similar journey and help change the way the world views Down Syndrome! At 11 weeks our OB at the time noticed a thickened nuchal fold and suggested we do a genetic blood test. Honestly, we didn’t believe anything would be detected with our baby, we were just looking forward to finding out the gender so early. The results came back, and the screening detected a 76% predictive value for Trisomy 21. Definitely not something we ever expected. And the way it was presented to Cody and me made us leave the appointment scared, confused, and in denial of the results we had just been given. Slumber Party in Liv's Room

This morning we woke up and Elsie had gotten Liv's baby doll crib out of the toy room and was hanging out in the crib in Liv's room. He must have had a long night at the North Pole...Christmas is only 6 days away!!!!
