Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

Could this really be...is my baby really 2?? Times sure does go by so quickly...I'm hanging on to every ounce of baby that I can..but diapers are not one! So let potty training begin! It's not my favorite thing to do...but what's 3 days? And seeing my baby get so excited makes it that much better!! Here's to potty training!

You weigh 28 lbs!  You are tall You wear a size 24 months and 2T.  We started potty training you on March 16th!  You mimc everything we all say and do!  Some of our favorite things you say are my momma, my dada, sissy, EE, Papa, Aunt L, Gran, G-daddy, blank, hold me, come find me, perfect, sure, pee pee, poo poo, ketchup, I be right back, my favorite part was..., my momma is my best friend in whole world, kisses, hugs, butterflies,  Our favorite songs you sing are "rock a by baby" and "you are my sunshine!"  You love to read, rock, and sing before bed and I love it just as much! If you don't like the song I start to sing you will quickly say no and I'll try another!  You favorite things to eat are turkey, fish, chicken, spaghetti, corn, green beans, hummus, cheese, chips/crackers, yogurt, ketchup, and chocolate!  You love to jump on anything and anyone!  You still ...

Our house is filled with laughter, screaming, love, crying, play, learning....and OUR HEARTS COULD NOT BE MORE FULL! Livia and Lailee you are best friends and it is the sweetest thing to witness! You girls love to play chase, especially running into mommy and daddy's bedroom!

Liv started sucking her thumb at 2 years and 1 month old...and I was a little worried to say the least! I was advised by doctors, dentist, books, and articles of how to go about helping her to stop and none of them worked out for us! So....1 year later and she has finally stopped sucking her thumb and it was really rather easy! We decided not to do the nasty finger nail stuff first and try a sticker chart, a special mitten for nap and night time, and a lot of love, positive reinforcement and PRAYER......AND IT WORKED! Livia is soooo proud of herself and we are extremely proud of her as well! Go Liv Go!!! You are such a smart strong little girl! Woo Hoo!!! And then comes the celebration dance!! She has such a great personality! Melts my heart! Yay! One whole week and 2 days down on this week!

We had a great NYE! We stayed home, cooked tons of good food, and played with our babies! Livia, Cody, and I made it to the New York ball drop, but Lailee passed out around 9:30! New Years Day was great! We played all day and then for supper had our southern NYD tradition of hog jowl, cabbage, black eyed peas, and we throw in potatoes! The girls LOVED IT! That's my girls!

We celebrated Momma's 47 birthday this week! We all met at Pizza Hut, enjoyed each others company, and celebrated the best woman in the world, my best friend, and the most perfect momma in this world!  Sweet cousins!  EE and PAPA always have happy's!  Yummy treat! Yes...Papa let her try coffee! 

Merry Christmas! We woke the girls up bright and early to see what Santa had left for them! They were so surprised and so happy...they couldn't get over all the different things. Liv kept saying, "Look at this...how did he know I would like this? It was an unforgettable moment for us all! Then after oohing and awwing for a few minutes...we looked outside and he had left a bounce house for them! It was the ultimate shock! We then got ready and headed to Newbern to have christmas with my family! Livia and Lailee's "big" gifts from EE and Papa were a Frozen Bicycle and Four-wheeler! They loved everything! The biggest hit since it is cold outside has been the bath Alex bath toy with foaming bath soap! It is so much fun!  We then headed to my Aunt Kim's to celebrate with my Nana! Uncle Paul pretended to be Santa and Liv and Lailee loved it! ...
